Morgan Wallen has been silent since he was arrested in early April for throwing a chair off the roof at Eric Church’s bar Chief’s in Nashville.

But he finally tweeted out and accepted responsibility for his actions.

“I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility. I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change.”

And then he signed off with his initials, MW.

He also had a show this past weekend at the University of Mississippi.

It was his first show back, since chair-gate, and it was a make-up show from last year when it was abruptly cancelled minutes before he was supposed to go on stage.

Morgan might have made a nod to his current legal troubles at one point in the show when he was talking about playing sports as a kid. He said,

“In high school, I almost got kicked off the team . . . I was a little rowdy back then. I guess I’m still a little rowdy now.”

Morgan is due in court on May 3rd.
